The Sickle Cell Disease Association of America, San Diego (SCDAA, SD) is 34 year old organization dedicated to improving the lives of people afflicted with this illness and spreading awareness in San Diego.
We serve patients that range from infants and beyond and with the intent of being a stable support system for them and their families throughout their lifetime.
Our services include health advocacy for academic and employment purposes, disability discrimination in employment, schools and hospitals, transportation to and from medical facilities, gas and grocery cards, free cases of water and gatorade, access to health care support, programs and events throughout the year, support groups and mentorship groups.
